Polyphenols in green tea are not only an antioxidant

Polyphenols are antioxidants.  They can be found in abundance within things like olive oil, red wine and green tea.  Your cardiologist will recommend them in your diet.

In addition, the polyphenols in green tea (specifically green tea) also aid in weight loss by helping the body burn calories faster.

This effect only lasts a couple of hours, so you'd need to drink about three cups or glasses throughout the day.  Nonetheless, it's one more weapon in your battle against the waistline.
